The fry pan is the most important pan in the kitchen. You’ll always be using your fry pan. What makes the fry pan unique is its flat bottom and shallow sloped sides. You need this pan for all of your frying, searing, and browning needs (we know you have needs). These pans are also ideal for pastas that are pan sauce based.
Great for the solo job. Try cooking a couple of eggs in this pan, or an onion on the fly? Try pan frying some fish, such as trout or catfish. Or how about use it to cook up a solo pork chop for you and you only. You deserve it.
The All-Clad stainless steel line is the company’s most popular, and for good reasons. Combining the power stainless steel and aluminum, this is the perfect expression of classic All-Clad performance. This line features 18/10 stainless steel interior, with an aluminum core, evenly cooking that bacon with oh-so-hot heat. The stainless steel exterior is compatible with all cooking hubs, including induction stovetops, and is polished so it can stay very shiny, if that’s your thing. It’s even safe to pop in the oven or throw on the grill. Best of all, this thing is already non-stick and ready to throw in the dishwasher. Save the sponges!
Stainless steel is bulletproof, won’t react with food, never scrapes away, and cleans up easily, but it’s terrible at conducting heat. Aluminum is an excellent heat conductor, but it’s soft and scrapes away, reacts with acidic foods to create off flavors, and can dent really easily. Put them together and you have the Wonder Twins of cookware. Mineral Twin Powers, Activate! Form of: Frypan! Shape of: Saute!
What do Thomas Keller, Paul Kahan, and David Chang all have in common? They use All-Clad pans almost exclusively in their professional kitchens. All-Clad has been manufacturing high quality commercial grade cookware for 40+ years. John Ulam, founder of All-Clad, was a metallurgist, which besides sounding like a rad thrash album from ’87, is also the science of extracting metals from their ores. After spending a few years as a manufacturer for bonded metals, All-Clad John happened to make himself a frying pan for personal use. One thing led to another and by 1971, All-Clad began selling cookware exclusively. Combining the stability and non-reactive qualities of stainless steel with the heat conductivity of aluminum and copper, All-Clad produces cookware that’s easily controllable, distributes even heat, and allows your food to taste like more delicious food. Using science to make food taste better? Props, Ulam. Best of all, the bonded metal cookware is made right here in the U.S. of A in good ol’ Canonsburg, PA.
