Join us for a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Sandy in The Rockaways.

Sara Bigelow expert butcher of the Meat Hook will demo butchering a 1/2 steer that has been generously donated by Adirondack grazers,an upsate co-op of small grass fed beef farmers.
You’ll get to watch Sara take apart the steer and then have the chance to bid on some of the choicest cuts in a live auction to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Then the rest of the steer will be given to some fantastic chefs who will prepare it for Thursday nights festivities at another fundraising event, this time a modern Beefsteak with craft beer and 13 indie spirit sponsors curated by Modern Distillery Age magazine.
This event will take place at Hudson Terrace, 621 W 46 St.
