CANNING TOMATOES ARE BACK!

What is it?
appx. 20lb. boxes of #2 canning tomatoes. Sometimes Roma, sometimes round slicers, depending on availability.  $35 per box.

Where from?
Lancaster, PA! Or the Finger Lakes region of NY, depending on availability.

Why would I want this?
Why wouldn’t you want this?! It’s so you can enjoy delicious juicy summer tomatoes all year round, silly. Arriving direct from the same family-owned farms the rest of our produce comes from, these tomatoes come in easy to carry heavy-duty cardboard boxes at a great price. Because we will be offering this deal every week for the remainder of the season, you can preserve your tomatoes as often as you’d like. If you’ve never canned before, we offer quite a few classes covering the basics of pickling, jam making and tomato canning (taught by yours truly).

How?
Customers can place orders over the phone, online or in the store. But they MUST be paid for in advance.
Orders must be placed by 5pm on Tuesday for a Friday delivery, no exceptions, sorry. Any orders placed after 5pm will be processed for the following weekend.

Are they organic?
Most of these farms are certified PA organic. We’ve been working with Lancaster farms for over 2 years now and can ensure the tomatoes are raised with care by responsible farmers whom we trust.

What happens if there’s a giant hail storm or an Amish coyote eats my tomatoes and then my delivery never shows up?
If there is a short (which does occasionally happen), we can offer a refund, store credit or put the order through for the following week.

I was really hungover and forgot to pick up my tomatoes!
We can’t hold tomatoes for folks who do not pick them up. We cannot offer any refund for unclaimed tomatoes will be sold off or consumed with no refund.
Pick-up times are from Friday afternoon through Monday evening.
Store hours are M-Sat. 10-8 and Sun. 12-6pm

Is there a limit to how many cases of tomatoes I can get?
Nope! Order to your hearts delight. Lancaster does offer 1000lb. bins of Romas if that’s your fancy.

What will 20 pounds of tomatoes yield?
About 7-8 quarts of whole peeled tomatoes

Do you ship or deliver?
Nopes. Pick-up only. Transport is up to the customer.

When does this start?
Now! Through mid-October, usually.
