Product Description

Spring and summer provide the greatest bounty of seasonal fruits. Once you've gotten your fill of them fresh, the next step is preserving for the fall and winter. Marisa McClellan, the author of the blog and recently published book "Food In Jars," will walk you through picking the right fruits for each time of year and instruct you on the science of flavor and safety in canning preserves. Canning can be daunting for the novice jam-maker, but Marisa will give you all the tools you need to can with confidence. In this hands-on class, learn to make jams, jellies or preserves and brush up on tips and tricks for canning safely and effectively.
