We’re hosting TWO sake tastings in June!
Over a dozen brewers visiting from Japan will be here on 6/2 to share tastes of sakes and shochu from all over the country, so you’ll really have the chance to get to know these beverages. On 6/28 we’re also offering a pairing of Dassai’s ‘daigingo junmai’ sakes with totally non-Japanese bites like the Meat Hook’s lamb bacon. Ever tried sake lees (the byproduct of fermentation)?? We’ll be trying it and tasting some amazing artisanal sakes from Dassai. Come drink with us!
Also on June 2nd we will have a master knife engraver on site to engrave any knife you purchase in the store. (some blades cannot be engraved) Mr Takahashi engraves the fine blades we sell from Kikuichi, and he’s making a short trip to the US and we’ll be lucky enough to have him on site for the day.
