OY…OY…OYSTERS!

Looking for some sustainably sourced bivalve mollusks? We got ‘em!

Thanks to Gabe Stommel, orĀ Gabe the Fish Babe, we have dozens of freshly-caught Cedar Point oysters from off the coast of Port Judith, RI – $19.99 for a baker’s dozen.

Gabe became a seafaring middlewoman and started a business that shortens the supply chain from ocean to table, connecting dayboat fisherpeople* directly to consumers (or lucky retailers) through CSA-style pick-ups and home deliveries. Every week, happy people come to The Brooklyn Kitchen to retrieve a tasty package of super fresh fish and shellfish straight from New England waters. Get more information about joining the Fish Club here. In the meantime, visit the store to get your hands on some totally tasty shellfish. Why the shuck not?

*dayboat fisherpeople: fisherpeople who only go out on the water for one day at a time, ensuring the time between catch and delivery to a middleperson like Gabe and thus shortening the time between middlepeople and plates.
