Frequently Asked Questions

Covid Times

Are you offering in person classes at this time?

Unfortunately we are unable to have classes in our Brooklyn studio right now. We are hoping to have in-person classes in Spring 2021. We ARE offering online classes thru Zoom & (soon to be)Teachable platform. We release a new PUBLIC schedule each month & you can see the schedule HERE.

Looking for a PRIVATE Class with faraway family & friends? Maybe you’re looking for more of a team building activity with your coworker, we do it all. Just email us at info@thebrooklynkitchen.com for more info on booking.

Can I buy a gift card?

Yes! You have a couple options here.

Click HERE for gift cards for our popular Zoom interactive classes. In these classes you have access to a professional chef who will help you along the way and answer all questions in real time. Pick our brains, we’re here for it!

Click HERE buy gift cards towards a new membership project we are working on. This one will be more pre-recorded videos & handouts that people can go back into at any time & take courses at their own pace.

How do your online classes work?

You can see classes we are offering and sign up for them here. Once you are signed up, you will receive a confirmation email with a list of ingredients that you will need for the class and the link to join Zoom day of. Depending on the class, you may also receive a video for anything that needs to be prepared in advance. Because many of us aren’t food shopping with regularity during this time, we will provide plenty of alternative ingredients that can be used. When the time arrives for class just follow the Zoom link we provided and you’ll see us all virtually! You will then receive recipes for all the food we make in an email we send once the class is complete.

How long do online classes run?

Our online classes run about 2 hours, give or take 15 minutes. We allow plenty of time for questions and also adjust the pace depending on everyone attending.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

When you register for online classes, there is a “questions for us” section that you can use. Please note any dietary restrictions or food allergies there so that our instructor is prepared to tell you how to substitute/modify for those.

What do online classes cost?

Right now, we are doing a sliding scale fee for classes because we want everyone to be able to afford learning how to cook for themselves. Please pay what you can and if you are happy with the class, you can tip our staff here

What is your refund policy for online classes?

No refund or rescheduling within 48 hours, public or private.

Do you offer private online classes?

Yes we do! We tend to stick to the same offerings on our calendar, however we are always down to discuss tailoring a class to your needs. Please reach out to us at info@thebrooklynkitchen.com
