This summer, we're launching a series of Bite Size classes, intended to be short introductions to our classes and teaching style. Each weekend, we pick a theme, and you can join in! Drop-ins welcome as space allows, so sign up if you know you want to come!
On July 15, We're launching Bite Size with Knife Skills and Seasoning! Taken separately or together, these workshops will give you a significant taste for our classes and education style.
Knife Skills: slice and dice a few veggies, basic concepts on knife safety, use, and care!
Seasoning: What makes flavors work together? What elements can be used to enhance and develop flavors? This will be a hands-on exploration of common and practical ways to improve the flavor of your food.
Learn how to fry your very own pastry treats in this hands-on workshop! Donuts workshop includes a cake doughnut with a seasonal fruit glaze, and fritters will be a delicious seasonal fruit. Students will be able to take some home, either to share or to eat all by themselves!
Pie can be intimidating, but that's why it's the best. We're breaking it down for you into manageable chunks, including the CRUST, arguably the trickiest dough to get comfortable with, and the assembly: your fancy lattices, scallops and doodads that make your pie look amazing for Instagram!
